The Mill Academy

 Caretaker

Salary Details: £16,781 to 17,772 pro-rata (Grade 3)

Contract type: 21 hours per week

Contract term: Permanent

The Governing Body at The Mill Academy School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to carry out the caretaking duties in our school following the retirement of the current post-holder.

Your main duties will include routine security procedures for the school buildings and grounds, carry out routine repairs and maintenance of equipment, deal with all tradesmen carrying out work within the school, carry out general portage duties as required and replenish consumable items as required throughout the school.

You must have or be willing to work towards IOSH qualifications and have a good understanding of the main Health and Safety regulations, including COSHH and risk assessment and how they apply in a school environment.

 Teaching Assistant

 Salary Details: £16755 – £18672 (pro rata)

Contract type: 27.5 hours per week, term-time only plus 2 INSET days

Contract term: Fixed Term to 31ST August 2019

The Governing Body at The Mill Academy is seeking to appoint a well-motivated, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. Applications are welcome from both experienced candidates as well as those seeking to start their career as Teaching Assistants.

The minimum criteria for applications is the Grade 2 specification, however experienced and suitably qualified individuals could commence on Grade 3.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Experience of working in a primary school
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults
  • Can work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities
